The Impact of Corporate Governance on Social Responsibility in Chile

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of corporate governance on social responsibility practices among Chilean firms. Through a quantitative analysis of survey data from 100 companies, the research examines the relationship between governance structures and CSR initiatives. Findings indicate that strong corporate governance correlates with enhanced social responsibility performance. The study identifies key governance mechanisms, such as board diversity and stakeholder engagement, that influence CSR outcomes. Recommendations for improving corporate governance to foster social responsibility are provided. This research contributes to the understanding of the interplay between governance and corporate social responsibility in emerging markets.
