Environmental Accounting and Corporate Performance in Peru
Abstract
This research examines the relationship between environmental accounting practices and corporate performance in Peru. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study analyzes data from 150 companies across various sectors. Findings reveal a positive correlation between the implementation of environmental accounting practices and improved financial performance. The research identifies key drivers for adopting these practices, including regulatory compliance and stakeholder pressure. However, challenges such as lack of awareness and insufficient training are also highlighted. The study provides insights for businesses seeking to enhance their environmental accountability while achieving financial success. This research contributes to the literature on environmental accounting and its implications for corporate performance in developing countries.
